九十年代，因为来自日本的捐款，日本在联合国机构的影响很大，许多联合国机构的官员由日本人担任，比如联合国教科文驻北京及东亚办事处。
记得曾经做为英语翻译随领导去联合国教科文组织驻北京及东亚办事处汇报工作，汇报会的记者会被安排在日本大使馆举行。日本大使馆同时邀请了约二十家欧洲使馆的官员和欧洲的新闻媒体参加，为日本援助的联合国教科文组织的项目做宣传。
初次在新闻发布会上做英语翻译，十分紧张，出了明显的错误。好在一些欧洲使馆的官员是汉语通，及时指出、纠正。至今回想起来，仍然汗颜。
当时日本大使馆实际控制了联合国教科文机构。教科文组织的主任是日本人。教科文组织的实际经费来自日本大使馆的捐助。
教科文的援助项目，实际由日本国内派人来完成。项目的主要花费是日方工作人员的支出。

HORRIBLE DUPES! The colors are incorrect on the shoes. The stitching is very inconsistent and noticeable. I asked the seller for a refund because I wasn’t satisfied with the purchase.
